Frequently Asked Questions

Please be aware that Pathways to Prevention does not provide treatment services for individuals in need. Instead, we focus on offering comprehensive substance abuse education and prevention programs ONLY. Our goal is to promote awareness and understanding of substance use issues within the community.

Do you offer virtual and in person programs?

Yes, at Pathways, we strive to make it as convenient as possible for all of our valued participants. We fully understand that there are various obstacles that may prevent some of our participants from attending in person. To accommodate these situations, we offer virtual options for participants who are unable to make it to our physical locations. Moreover, we recognize that some participants may prefer the unique benefits of an in-person experience, which can foster deeper connections and engagement. For those individuals, in-person sessions are thoughtfully scheduled and offered every month, while our virtual sessions are also readily available, typically offered 2 to 3 times a month, allowing for flexibility in participation.

Do I have to have a camera and microphone for virtual?

Yes, we treat our virtual program with the same level of importance and rigor as our in-person sessions. If we cannot see you or hear you clearly, then we cannot accurately assess whether you are actively participating in the program. Therefore, if you do not have a functioning camera, we will not be able to count you as present for attendance purposes. You may use a variety of devices, including a laptop, desktop, smartphone, or tablet, for your convenience. We highly recommend that you ensure your device is working properly at least two days before the class begins. Our dedicated staff is available to assist you and ensure you have everything set up correctly to avoid any issues. We kindly ask that you call ahead and schedule a time for assistance with your setup. Please refrain from calling just 10 minutes before class starts to request help with configuration, as it may not provide sufficient time for us to assist you effectively.

How do I pay for my virtual class?

We have a few options available for your payment, making it convenient for you to choose the method that best suits your needs. You may choose to pay through the invoice that is sent directly to your email address, which you provided during the sign-up process for our services. Alternatively, you can opt to mail in your payment; however, please note that we only accept cashier’s checks for this method and do not accept personal checks, as this is an important policy for us. Additionally, if you prefer a more direct approach, you may call a friendly staff member, and they will be more than happy to assist you in processing your payment over the phone. It is very important that we receive your payment in order to send out your materials in a timely manner for the virtual program you have enrolled in.

I need to complete this class, but I am having a tough time to pay the full amount, do you offer a payment plan?

Yes, we completely understand that there are various obstacles that individuals may face. To assist you, we offer a convenient payment plan option on the invoice that will allow you to break your total payment into smaller, more manageable installments. Please note that with this particular payment option, we do not hold your certificate. If you choose this option, you will receive your certificate promptly at the end of the course, ensuring that you can receive recognition for your efforts without unnecessary delays.

When will I receive my certificate of Completion?

If you are participating in person, you will receive your certificate promptly at the conclusion of the course. If you are attending virtually, you can expect to receive your certificate by Monday, no later than the end of the day, delivered directly to your email address. We will also have some necessary paperwork for you to fill out during the course. Once we receive this completed paperwork, we will be able to send your certificate to your designated referral source without delay.
